Austin, the tech at Directv, is a very nice guy...

I suggest you ask for him if you have troubles with your system.

Unlike other tech support (*cough* Maytag *cough*) he worked his heart out for a half hour so that he could get my DVR up and running so that I could tape the game (Tigers 19 Twinkies 3 Woot!) later on (in replay) for WannaB the Magglio fan. It is a piece of Magglio play that she cannot miss just because she was off painting a boat (but that's another story).

He was very nice. We discussed the price of gasoline ($3.59, where he is, in Oklahoma), how awesome the extra History channels are and how he was a big WWI buff as a kid (which I found odd because you rarely hear someone say that they are a WWI buff...it's usuall the Rev War, Civil War or WWII)...

Anyway, I suggest you ask for him. He is earnest, fixed the problem and isn't a *cough* Maytag man.

8. Thanks! This one is tight.

Magglio just did the sweetest thing. A foul ball dropped in right field. He threw it up to a 5 year old girl,and she dropped it. He threw it up again...she dropped it again. Third try was a charm. He's just a decent guy... and, as I said in another thread, I think Mauer is cute. :hug:
