Without music , life would be a terrible mistake
Edited on Sun May-25-08 01:27 AM by UndertheOcean
nothing else soothes the heart of this beast , or extinguishes the flames of the terrible eyes of pan.

If I become deaf thats the end for me , but why be so pessimistic , what are the chances I lose the only sense that bounds me to life ?

1. I don't know that I would have gotten through my teenage years without music
I still love it now, but it was a lifeline when I was younger.

2. I think most of us are genetically programmed that way
It just depends on the degree, and that determines your enthusiasm.
My mother was a classical musician who also played jazz in New York
in the 1940s and liked Appalachian and Celtic folk tunes. I inherited
all of that and more. Now I leave guitars, keyboards and other more
exotic instruments on both side of the Atlantic so I am never far from
one to pick up and play.
