I just watched "Juno", and while it was a decent movie . . .
. . . did anyone else but me find the majority of the music in it (well, besides the Kinks and Mott the Hoople) really . . . REALLY annoying? The whole minimally acoustic, underperform-everything-to-the-point-of-stupor vibe?

I mean . . . what do you DO with that? Drink mocha cappuccino? Dress ironically? Put it in deadpan-fests directed by Wes Anderson?

Where's the STRENGTH, man?

I know bodybuilders don't flex their muscles ALL the time, but . . . I don't know, it just sounds like it wasn't in the microwave long enough.

1. We have different tastes then...
I actually bought that Soundtrack and Transformers on the same day. I love Buddy Holly (one of my hubby's favorites) and I love the folk music. It is wonderfully calming.

Love it. :hi:

2. I know what you mean....
....Frankly, while it wasn't a bad movie and had a nice, sweet ending, I didn't get all the hype about it.

The music was a little too indy for my tastes, and the title character was made a little too "quirky". I mean, what sort of 16 year old goes around placing furniture on the lawn and carrying a pipe?

3. One that's bored and...
...being forced to help her parents set up a garage sale.

4. I got sick of the endless pronouncements of "Dude!"
but thought it was a cute movie. Much better than a lot of the crap released last year.

As for the music - meh. But, then again, I don't even have an iPod or any sort of music collection aside from some blues and classical, so I can't really comment on the film's soundtrack with any intelligence.
