Lelapin is packing her things and found the baby box...
She's so thrilled about every dress and outfit I saved.

I'm fighting back tears wondering where in the world all the time has gone...

looking at her art portfolio and how much she's progressed over the years. I think she has every note she ever was passed in class too. They're hysterical.

You know what it's like to have grown children too. I can't wait to see what her life will become but at the same time, I wish I had her back again like this:

8. The time has gone into memories ... the memories
live in your heart and hers, ... so, really the 'time' hasn't gone anywhere.

I too wonder where time goes ... my son turned 25 on friday.

14. Always hard to watch your kids grow up
My daughter is in England, so I rarely see her. We keep in touch through the phone and emails. And I always think "How did this happen? How did the infant I held become a grown succesful woman? Where did the time go? And why did it go so fast? And why can't I make it go back?"

Lelapin is a great kid with a wonderful future. Just be proud of her. And as your little girl becomes a woman, think of what a great woman she's gonna be.

My sister moved to the Midlands 7 years ago. What region is your daughter living in?

I know how much I miss my sister. I can't begin to imagine how much you miss your child.

17. She's at Oxford
Smart girl. I wonder if she's ever gonna graduate! But she's doing what I did so I can't complain too much. I do miss her and I miss her childhood. Wakeing me up by jumping up and down on the bed , screaming "Happy happy, joy joy!" and covering me with slobbery kisses. Not a a bad way to wake up, really.

That's the trouble with raising strong, independent children. You rarely get to see them. :(

You should be very proud. :)

21. awww.

your post brought tears to my eyes. I had my first baby (a boy) at 35 last July. I've alway wanted children and watched my cousins and nieces and nephews grow up so quickly.

Every time I pack up the outfits that he's outgrown, I choke up a little bit. I try to cherish all the memories, b/c I know how fast time goes. I can't imagine him at 5 getting on a school bus by himself, let alone being all grown up.

22. It's kinda hard to see them as adults
My daughter had to read me the riot act about dating.I wasn't going to allow it. I couldn't see her as a strong young woman, but just as that little girl. Talk about overprotective fathers! I was the worst! Still am in some ways.
