3. 1. Apply dish soap to stain immediately
Edited on Mon May-26-08 11:01 PM by LeftyMom
2. Wash with strong detergent- repeat 1 and 2 until stain is gone
3. Absolutely do not machine dry the shirt until you're sure the stain is gone- if you're not totally sure, air dry it and then take a good look in sunlight

4. if you have powdered dish washer det you can make a paste out of it an apply it to
the stain, make the area is wet first and then let it sit overnight unless it's dark, the det. may lift some of the color, then wash it in cold water and do no put it in the dryer.

6. Spray & Wash
...or that really good stain stick thingie (can't remember the brand name). I deal with a lot of stupid food stains and greasy stains on tablecloths vintage and new. The products will take it out if you follow directions and apply NO HEAT.

8. First, you have to either invent, discover, or steal a time machine.
Then you have to go back and intercept the grease before it gets on the shirt.

Ironically, this will create a paradox in which you never went back in time, so the you at that time will be orphaned from your own reality.

But the you in that reality will not have to worry about cleaning the grease splatters out of the shirt. So in the end, it's kinda worth it.

9. Goo Gone works great. It works even if I accidentally wash and dry the stained shirt first.
I squirt a little on the stain, then put some stain stick or detergent on the other side of the fabric and wash. Works every time.

10. Put some talcum powder/baby powder on the grease stains
overnight. That will help pull the grease out of the fabric. Shake off the powder and treat the grease places with Dawn dishwashing detergerent or a regular stain stick as per directions. Wash.
