Car 2, birds 0-OR- Why nature hates me
Last Saturday I am driving to a moving in party at a friends and a Robin lands in the road as I approach. All I am thinking is "okay Mr.Robin you know the deal don't even THINK about flying..." THUD--it takes off and flies right into the grill of my car.

Sunday my sick wife and little girl finally get out of the house to go pick up dinner. When we get back lying in the driveway is another dead robin. I am no CSI expert but I would have to say that from the angle of the brains splatter-age it met it's end on the wrong end of a European import's tires :hi: there was another robin just beside itself chirping and jumping around. Very sad.

The really weird part is that I scooped it off the driveway with a rake and by the next morning...it was gone :hide::scared:

This morning.
I loaded up the dishwasher and got that going. Corralled the critters downstairs and then sprayed for ants in the kitchen-under the sink and around the dishwasher. Bad ant problem all of sudden over the weekend (what a weekend!!). This was my first chance with my wife and the little girl out of the house to do this. I know I know we shouldn't use chemicals but hey look I need to get rid of the damned ants. Oh and I cleaned out the fridge.

Now as I was taking the bug spray back to the shed I had noticed some ants around the gray landing by the back door so I sprayed those too.

Went to get dressed being very careful not to hit the cut on my chin from shaving. Got all ready and went to make sure my tie looked okay in the bathroom mirror only to find that I had had cut my neck shaving too and now had blood on my shirt. Had to go back upstairs and get another one.

NOW I am ready to leave. I grab the Tupperware thing of chicken and rice (with some peas thrown in) that I had salvaged from the fridge. I step outside and turn to lock the door and the Tupperware slips out of my hand. I watch it fall fully expecting my lunch to scatter across the driveway but NO!! the Tupperware stays together!!! it hits and rolls and stops right in the middle of where I sprayed for the ants outside. Soaking wet with pesticide.

We lost a Tupperware container this morning.

1. You can get rid of the ants with Orange Oil.
A lot better for the environment AND for you -- very low toxic. If I had dropped my tupperware in Orange Oil, I wouldn't hesitate to wash it off and use it. :hi:

2. I have had great success using this product for ant control and it
is nontoxic to humans and pets. This company has a lot of natural products for home and garden. You can order a free catalog at their site.

p.s. Too bad about the robins.
