3. My Dear CaliforniaPeggy
I remember watching 'Cypher in the Snow' in Middle School, and felt so sad afterward

The kid was a loner, and no one talked with him and he just went thru the School Year
alone, and empty, one day he got off the School Bus and just dropped in the snow.....dead
it was so sad.........no one knew him, or cared.......

:hi:

9. Wow - I'll have to get it.
I was out sick the day the class watched "Hemo" and when I came back the next day, they were talking about it and it seemed like I had missed out on something great. I never got to see it. Now that I know it's available on DVD I'll get to see it finally.

11. I know you'll enjoy it...
Even though it's old, they got the biology right...

The film of the blood inside the blood vessels absolutely transported me!

4. Koyaanisqatsi
Dialogue-less documentary produced by Francis Ford Coppola and directed by Godfrey Rodrigio, which shows scenes of hectic civilization and its impact. I saw it for my college class called "The Unspeakable" (which I also saw some of the worst films I've seen in school, as you can see in the other post).

I don't know why I liked it so much--perhaps because I wasn't expecting to like it.

The last scene showed a rocket taking off from earth and then exploding, and it just focuses on a piece of debris falling towards the ground. I found that sort of a sad reminder of mankind's limitations.

Other great films I saw in school was "To Kill a Mockingbird" and "12 Angry Men" in my high school civics class.

5. I can't remember the name
But it was in health class. It was from the 50's and was meant to explain menstruation and periods to teenage girls - but without ever mentioning it. I laughed my ass off. The whole thing could have been much shorter - as in "girls, you're gonna get periods. This is a tampon and this what you do with it." But it so did not even mention it that nobody could have learned anything. I bet a lot of girls left wondering what the hell that was supposed to be about. It was a joke. Stuff like "Sometimes when a boy calls you for a date you have to tell him you can't because you're washing your hair."

Khash.
