6. It was actually two beaches

The first beach we visited yesterday was Balboa Beach in Newport Beach on the Balboa Peninsula. The second beach was Corona Del Mar. We saw the parasailor on CDM.

I don't understand these mountain folk :hide: ... I like to look at mountains in the distance (Mt. Hood, in my case), in the distance, but give me the beach any day.

We lived in Colorado for a few months, and my relatives by marriage were convinced we'd fall in love with it and stay. I kept thinking: "You people are nuts if you think I'm going to live permanently in a landlocked state with a ridiculous altitude and crazy ass snow-one-day/80 degreees-the-next weather."

Ocean...I.Must.Have.Ocean.
