Pet Peeves...
One that I HATE is when someone hangs up on me. Especially when there is no argument going on, no clue as to WHY they did it, just hung up.

On the other hand, what the fuck, I've got chocolate, and I will sleep tonight knowing that whatever the problem is, it isn't fucking my problem.

What are pet peeves you have?

10. Common spelling/grammar errors...its vs it's; their/they're/there;
irregardless; "for all intensive purposes"; "supposably" (drives me NUTS!!!!); using apostrophes to denote plurals or quotations to "emphasize" something (as in "Thank you" for shopping with us or "DO NOT" PARK HERE); people who actually WRITE 'should of' and 'could of'...

Little things, but they annoy the hell outta me.

or the wrong spelling of a word, or even the wrong tense of a word in a sentence.

Blame it on an English teaching mother and a journalism professor father.

Not the "irregardless" one, but I have been known to misspell!
I do hate it that the "i" and the "u" are so close together on the keyboard; I wish I had a nickel for every time I've e-mailed my team at work, reminding them to shit down their PCs before they punch out

Of course spell check isn't going to catch it, and grammar isn't either. I just read my stuff and know that is a common error. I don't write about snow or snot much so that's a good thing :P

97. yeah, that too. I have a couple of lines I tend to use in those situations
when being ignored, I throw in "....and then I found $5!" and it always grabs them back. My other one involves seeing a unicorn, and only gets thrown out when I know they won't even notice.

Even better is when I see a unicorn with $5 in it's hoof.

Sure, there are some things that piss me off but I can't say anything specific that pisses me off every single time. 20. Would it kill people to smile back when I smile at them in the store/bank/other public place?
We have become a people entrenched in rudeness. I have started calling them on it, much to the embarassment of my kids. I was in a restaurant the other day with my dad and BabyG and said, loud enough for them to hear, "Why do those women glare at every single person who comes in here?" In some small way, I hope it makes people think...but I doubt it. :hi:

49. I only have pet dogs

Oh, and a lizard. And a salamander. :D

No but really, when certain people (ahem) use all the TP and do not replace the roll!!! Then maybe you don't notice until after you've peed, and then you are STUCK! :grr:

52. Yeah, I don't like that either

and its not your house even worse..

86. I can't stand a lot of people
for the very reason that they are assholes

the patients I work with are often much easier to work with than the staff, or the families of the patients, or other people in life, much easier I tell ya :P

92. I really don't know how you do it, and I'm dealing with assholes on the customer
service level....I don't know if you know what that's like, but my theatre is going through a lot of changes recently, and all of them are NOT good. There is a lot of detail to go into at this moment, but they are undergoing an " artistic change approach " whatever the fuck that means.....

95. "artistic change approach"
sounds like a new way to say bend over and take it!

sorry you are there

I don't know if I could deal with the customer service level, although I do that as well. When a complain comes I have to address it, and show some kind of action plan to deal with it. Some complaints are boneheaded as hell, but the business model has come to medicine and psychiatry too, and instead of patients, we have customers. Good and bad sides to that model.

67. Pen clickers and knuckle crackers...
I was in a really tough chem class and the guy sitting in front of me was doing both, I don't know what came over me, but I leaned up and whispered "If you keep it up, I'm gonna break your knucles AND stick your pen up your ass"...

He stopped...

We get along just fine now;)

75. I'm tired of being bothered.
I consider myself a pretty good cook, and if Mr. passive-aggressive doesn't like it enough to show up, I just don't care anymore.

76. Sounds like an idiot
hate passive aggressive people

funny, i work with plenty of them too.

married to one for almost 20 years

I liken them to people who "short sheet" the bed. Which I never thought was funny. The bed looks normal but you can't get in it.

Sorry you are in that predicament.

It's been ove 35 for me, and I've been through too much to quit, or maybe I should? The "short sheet" is exactly what I'm talking about.

85. Gotcha. And you did the right thing.
Passive-aggressive, and narcissistic personality are truly awful. And my daughter is pregnant with out first grandchild, which is somehow threatening? I think not!

And I will be a young grandmother! I was married at 21, so I'm not so much an old fart! But granddad is not in the limelight now, so who knows?

94. Wow, you will be a young grandmother!
my age in fact generally. I better not be a grandparent for several years :P

Well, granddad will either deal with the life stage issue, or fall back into stagnation and have issues that are added to the package of passive aggressiveness, and narcissism. The newly bruised narcissist trying to make life return to the place where he was the limelight.

congrats though! that will be neat for you, and hopefully for him.

and of course for your daughter as well.
