Has beer become cheaper than gas?

Gasoline is now roughly $4 a gallon.

If you figure:

1 gallon = 128 ounce

That would come out to 10 cans/bottles (12 oz) or 8 16 oz cans/bottles


Does anyone know if a beer that is now cheaper than gasoline?

1. Dude, beer is cheaper than water

there are nasty cheap beers that work out to around $0.20 a can.

8. In Minnesota, E85 is like a buck cheaper than regular E10 gas

it's times like this when I wish I had a flex-fuel vehicle, but at least I don't have diesel.

E85 doesn't have as much energy per gallon. So your MPG on E85 will be considerably less than E10.

10. Out here in LA, a 24oz can of beer = $2.39. Gas = $4.10 / gal.

So yes, beer is cheaper than gasoline.
