Best car chases!
I've seen a lot of these movies, and agree with the list.

And who hasn't hollered "fruit stand!" when a streetside fruit/vegetable stand get splattered?

Car Chase Scenes Race For Title Of Greatest
Craig Clough, Staff Writer

The car chase has always been a cornerstone of the action genre of cinema.

It seems that any movie involving cops and robbers or good guys and bad guys, will at some point lead to one chasing the other at high speeds through winding city streets or back highway roads.

As special effects and stunt coordinating have gotten more advanced through the years, filmmakers have been trying to outdo each other by creating more intense and incredible chase sequences.

1. "Ronin" coming in at #8 is car chase blasphemy.
Might as well put Bo and Luke Duke v Roscoe P. Coltrane in #1 then.

2. The ones on KCAL channel 9 every night at 9 PM
That is one stereotype about Los Angeles that happens to be true.

4. Everybody has their favorites...
IMHO, maybe "The Blues Brothers" should have been #1.

5. I was prepared to write a scathing retort
when I finally saw Blues Brothers at #2.

At the time of its release it held the record for the most number of cars crashed.

8. I think the beginning chase in The Transporter should at least crack the Top 20
Even if the movie did devolve into suckitude once the chick showed up...

9. The French Connection...
...not necessarily car vs. car, but a great chase scene, none-the-less.
