Pippi has ear loogies
in one ear, but not the other. She's got a LOT. Her ear has been like this for weeks. It doesn't seem to be bothering her; she's not scratching or obviously in pain.

What could it be?

1. Is Pippi a cat? Are the loogies dark brown/black - sort of like wax?
My guy had a yeast infection that looked like ear junk - he wasn't obviously scratching, but he was a lot happier after the vet squirted some stuff in and cleaned it out. (Well, not happier right after, but happier later...)

2. Pippi is a dog
and the loogies are sort of a deep amber/red. They're clearly wax. I smelled her ear and it didn't smell funny, or at least it didn't smell any different than the other ear.

The vet gave us some stuff for Bailey (springer mix) that I squirted in Pip's ear, so we'll see if that helps anything at all. She's a cattle dog, with small, perky ears, so they shouldn't be yeasty.

It's weird to smell the dog's ears. :P

3. It's not weird - it's perfectly normal to smell anything on the front half of a cat or dog
The back half, not so much...

Hope the vet stuff does the trick!
