What's making you happy today?
I am happy because the sun is shining and because I have the most wonderful and supportive family.

Oh, and I am listening to really good music.

So what makes you happy today?

20. It's fantastic! I've always been bad about keeping track of my progress
and keeping interested in routines. This does it for you automatically. The yoga, strength and aerobics parts are great, and the balances games are fun.

I LOVE it! I've had it for only three days, but it's really fantastic for anyone who finds it hard to motivate to do these kinds of exercises.

26. The yoga part is amazing, because it is always tracking your center of balance.
More than a yoga instructor or you alone could ever do. The Balance board forces you to maintain appropriate positions and gain strength and balance. I can't say enough about it. I'm a techno/gadget geek, and I'm absolutely amazed at the technology and capabilities of this thing.

31. Do you remember Johnny Bench's baseball show for kids?
What was it called, "The Baseball Bunch?"

Bench hosted, and for some reason, the San Diego Chicken (who, IIRC, has nothing to do with Cincinnati Reds baseball) was always there. And they were teaching kids how to play ball. It was AWESOME!

Shit. Maybe it's just me, but baseball was a lot more fun when I was 7-13 years old.

We used to emulate the crazy batting stances of the popular players when I was in Little League. (American Fence, motherfucker!): Morgan's weird chicken-flap, Rose's crouch, Stargell's odd batting wind-up... I remember a kid trying to do the Kent Tekulve sidearm pitch, and smacking me in the head with the ball. His coach almost had a coronary screaming at him for "screwing around".

Fuck. I wish I loved baseball the way I used to. I still love the game; I just hate MLB.

EDIT: On topic - Remembering baseball when I was a kid makes me happy.

48. All in all, it's been a good day
I had an enjoyable lunch with a friend

When I came home, my clearance sale VCR tapes of the original Forsyte Saga (from 1969) and Sergeant Cribb (from Mystery in the 1970s) had come in the mail. This is great timing, because my local PBS station is about to embark on two weeks of the dreaded Pledge Drive.

In addition, some summer clothes I had ordered were delivered today.

On top of that, I enjoy what I'm working on right now.

This really is a remarkably good day. :7
