My little cat was attacked by a feral cat. I went to animal control and got
a trap and put it up and the next day there was the cat! He was hissing and scared me! Anyway little KittyKat is not going outside anymore except to sit in the front garden with the door open and me close by.

I took a few pictures but my camera is sucking for some reason. The black on her nose is blood. The scratch did not get into her eye thank God.

I have to take the trap back but I'm getting another, (this one seems to have broken) and catch the kittens that have been running around so they can be fixed at the shelter. There are too many cats living around here and they keep breeding and I think a lot of them don't make it to adulthood just because of animals like that cat and hawks and other things that eat them.

1. Are your kittycat's vaccinations up to date?
If not, see the vet pronto!

3. She's had all her shots. I talked about her on here before. She did
kind of ended up here the way some cats do and she has made herself quite at home. She had an eye infection and was underweight but I took her to the vet and he did all the tests and gave her a rabies so I could get tags, (which I haven't done yet)

My other cat Skutch has scars on his nose and one time that feral cat was chasing him and he chased him though my dog door and into the living room. It was horrible but I screamed and he ran out. I'm really glad he is gone and I hope to get the kittens so they don't grow up and reproduce and start the cycle again.

I live by woods even though I am in a neighborhood. I always thought the danger of letting your cats out was cars but mine have always stayed in the woods and on other people's back porches, (they feed them too). I didn't think about other dangers. Now I do.

2. Sorry your cat was attacked..poor baby
Two of our dogs were attacked by a feral cat a couple of months ago. No doubt they were giving it chase.
But the damage was terrific. Whippet had a severe laceration on her front leg that required surgery, antibiotics for
two weeks, etc. Borzoi's coat protected her, but she still had a bloody face and a bite on her leg. Antibiotics only for
her. Cat appeared intact as it went over the fence. We, too, have many feral cats in this area. Animal Control does its best to catch and
neuter them, but folks still let them loose. Hope she gets better soon. z

4. The cat trap is free but I had to give a deposit so I would bring it back
but after I take it back tomorrow and get a new one I am going to try and catch the other ones, especially the little ones because maybe if they are young they might not be mean and can be adopted out. Either way I am on a mission now to catch them all, (the ones that are right around here). Even it I let the kittens stay they will be killed by other animals or grow up to be like the cat I just caught.
