Going to my 40th College Reunion this weekend and I'm not

worried about my weight, my hair, my wardrobe or my makeup or how successful I am or how much money I make. Nor do I care about those things with respect to my classmates. I want to know how they are doing health-wise, how their kids and grandkids are and whether they still have their parents around. Funny how things and priorities change as time passes! :-)

My class includes the author of "Megatrends" and a recently retired head of the Rockefeller Foundation as well as many other accomplished women. We graduated from a small, womens' Catholic college in 1968 when women were expected to have an engagement ring by Graduation and get pregnant, teach or become a secretary.

2. Sounds like a very nice reunion

My kids always say to me "you're going out in THAT?" It's so nice to not care about that stuff.
I remember in 5th grade (1975) we took tests to see what career we would be compatible with..I wanted to be a forest ranger. I think as soon as I marked "girl" they quit scoring and said I should be a secretary. I have avoided office work my entire life!!!!!

4. I've been to my 10, 20 and 25 year college reunions

Each one was better than the last, because at each one people cared more and more about each other and less and less about the superficial stuff.
