I'm so happy tonight

My darling daughter is home from college for the weekend, and my grandchildren are here for the WHOLE weekend; the weather's beautiful, my garden is growing nicely (I'm ignoring the fact that the weeds are also growing like...well, weeds...); my migraine seems to be gone (knock wood); and we have fresh strawberries to put on the ice cream for dessert...
*happy sigh*

4. Thank you, lost!! It's always such a joy to see the grands in particular...

we were supposed to see them Mother's Day weekend and that fell through, so my son-in-law said "next weekend for SURE, all weekend" and THAT fell through, so THEN we were supposed to get them the NEXT weekend, all weekend, and Friday fell through so he was going to bring them early Saturday and they could stay late Sunday, and it turned out to be VERY late Saturday and they had to leave early Sunday...and so then we were going to take them for Sunday and Monday of Memorial Day weekend, and I was going to drive them home and we were going to stop at the cemetery together at my daughter's/their mom's grave, and THAT fell through too. :-( So I am thrilled that they are here and can stay all weekend and we can go to Emmy's grave on Sunday and they want to show me the flowers and the balloon they went to put there for her 30th birthday last week.

Whew! I'm out of breath writing all that *lol*

Because I am off! I work second-shift at a place where weekend work is necessary. We're open 24/7, 365.

So weekend days off are rare.
