Fuck fuck.. after five years, "The Front Page" was finally on TV again
I've only seen half of it. So, there I am watching, and at the climax I get a phonecall (poetically enough, for a story I'm working on) and I missed what happened!

ARGHHHH!

Will I EVER get to see the whole damned thing!

I still love it, either way! SOOOO funny. And bang on when it comes to the character of reporters.

2. Which version?
The 1931 original with Adolphe Menjou and Pat O'Brien (OUTstanding) or the 1974 remake with Lemmon and Matthau (not bad)?

Then there's my favorite, "His Girl Friday" (1940) — same film, but with Rosalind Russell as a female (gasp!) Hildy Johnson.



I guess we should also count that 1988 abortion, "Switching Channels," as a remake.
