It's suhweet. Discovered it because Squeezebox has a plugin for it. Sound quality seems better and playback much smoother than say ... XM Online.
I was listening to old school soul music on it last night :) I just need to get around to integrating it into my Squeezebox, then what I listen to can be scrobbled to my last.fm account. Whew. Music is "Hard werk!"
Speaking of which - I think I finally beat my music server issue into submission! :woohoo:
I listened to that a bit ... but I've been REALLY wanting to listen to and missing that old school soul/r&b vibe lately. I was teh HAPPY when I saw that station, that played while I finished beating down my music server.
Actually - the real reason I want to integrate slacker is so I can listen to it on the big STEREO. I just don't DO music playback on the computer. First I want to finish getting the MusicIP plugin working with it. Then I'll work on Slacker. As I said - Hard Werk.
I'm actually really into the idea of the Slacker portable device. It ain't cheap, though.
I'm definitely no definitive authority on cool though! haha! Audio quality sounds exceptional for online streaming from what I can tell - but the real test will be when I get it's audio output to my main stereo. That won't be in the immediate future.
Things are better for me this week - I've been mired in my own personal hell for MONTHS. Finally catching a bit of a break. The first week in June was especially bad, but it's now over!
Oh the Beer I will consume. Sorry about the drama. The first week of june was hell for me too.I turned 42..:yoiks: I am happy things are improving for you. :toast:
