My daughter is steaming mad at me.
She wants me to call the home of one of her classmates to set up a play date, and insisted that I look up the family's number in the phone book. That would be fine, except she is also insisting that the little girl's father's name is "Robert Goulet."

I did look up "Robert Goulet" in the phone book, just in case, but there is no listing for him or any other "Goulet." I told her that his name is probably something else, but apparently I am wrong and trying to ruin her six-year-old social life or something.

She was convinced that this friend had tried to call, so she got the phone and started randomly calling phone numbers off our caller i.d, then got mad when I took the phone away and told her that she can't do that.

3. Oh, no way in hell!
:scared:

Besides phoning all her friends, she would totally call my mom and rat on me for swearing, constantly!

4. Well, to be entirely accurate,
at first she said, "Abby's Dad's name is 'Robert Shoulet',"
to which I replied, "You mean 'Robert Goulet'?"
and she responded, "Yeah! 'Robert Goulet!'That's what his name is!"

(There's no "Robert Shoulet" in the phone book either, but she's now certain it's "Goulet", anyway.)

7. I Laughed When My Son's Friend Said His Name Was......
Denzel Washington....and it was. I just burst out laughing hysterically in the poor child's face. I couldn't help it. My son was about nine at the time and he was like, "Mom, that was so rude".

8. Tell her you can't call him because he died 8 months ago.

Show her on wiki if she refuses to believe it.

11. Yeah, you wish that *now*
But imagine being 6 and having to explain this to your friends:

Much less why Mom has pics of human guts on her blog and why she paints snow green.
