Some pictures from my daughter's kindergarten graduation
Since my thread on flowers yesterday generated 70 responses... We had perfect weather yesterday - sunny and mid 70s with very little humidity. These pics were taken by my mom, so none with the flowers I bought.

Outside at the graduation:

The two male teachers

Before the graduation:

1. Have you purchased a shotgun yet?
Because that is one beautiful little girl. Absolutely darling. I love her eyelet dress. TM wore an eyelet dress to graduation. So pretty.

4. Thanks
She already has like 4 or 5 "boyfriends" and one boy who she says she is going to marry.

The dress was in a clearance rack somewhere, so I'm pretty sure we paid under $10 for it, too.

15. I'm going to post a pic of my nine year old when I get home tonight.
Just to compare that impish smile in your penultimate picture to hers. Very familiar!

Great pics, lots of personality, btw.

7. you are welcome to babysit the next time we visit NYC
I have been trying to teach her that sometimes a man can marry a man, and a woman can marry a woman.

It will be a big change for my daughter, since she was in a private all-day kindergarten this year.

She was running around too much last night to carry the flowers around too much. And, luckily my daughter looks a lot more like my wife than me

16. Aww, she is adorable, but did you give her the Obama
prep talk, that she has many years of school ahead? ;)

Congrats to her, and to you. I bet you can't believe she is in kindergarten already. My youngest just got her masters.

They grow up really fast, keep taking LOTS of pictures (and movies.)

Or house with a basement that locks from the outside. :D

I love the picture of them all holding hands. That is so sweet and almost makes me want to still believe there is hope for the world. Almost. :hi:

26. It was a very nice and quick ceremony
You can't really drag things out with 5 & 6 year olds...

Plus, both the main teachers are leaving the school.

25. She's so cute
I love the picture of her in the chair. It would make a fantastic portrait.
I have two boys, but no little girl to put in pretty dresses! I'm jealous.

28. well, she's certainly a girlie-girl when it comes to clothes
When she was 2 1/2, we went to Florida, but realized after we got there that we forgot her sandals... so, I went out to buy some for her and came back a little while later and gave her the shoe box, which she opened up, and she screamed "new shoes, new shoes!" like she had won the Showcase on the Price is Right.
