I have a confession, I'm afraid of revolving doors
and every time I go to the library (where the signs on the real doors say "please use revolving door"} I use the regular door. Does this make me a bad person or can I continue to delude myself that my phobia of revolving doors gives me a legit reason for using the "real" door? And am I the only person on earth with this fear?

1. When you use the real door, be furtive
Hide your face, move fast, wear muted clothes.

There's nothing worst than the shriek of a librarian yelling

CLOSE THAT DOOR!!! WERE YOU BORN IN A BARN???

And then demand to see your library card!

Anyway, I guess their thinking is that revolving doors waste less energy (heat or A/C) than normal doors.

As phobias go, this one seems not so terrible.

2. It's not uncommon from my experience
I'm not afraid of them but I've known other people who are. It's probably as common as the fear of escalators. I never judge anyone who eschews the revolving door.
