Photo question
What's with the tilted heads?

http://www.manchesternh.gov/website/MayorandAldermen/Alderman/AldermanDetails/tabid/1039/Default.aspx

When they took our pics, I didn't realize that everyone was being told to do this. Frankly, 14 people with the same pose looks, well, a bit strange.

1. Crap photographers probably telling them to do that.

3. Not sure who took the pics
Maybe they were trying to hide the assortment of double chins...

5. My dear BlueDogDemocratNH!
Actually, I think they asked you all to do that because I think it is supposed to convey a dynamic attitude...

You know, kind of "go-getter" or something like that...

I don't think I would have noticed it if you hadn't pointed it out...

All of you look great, BTW!

:hi:

12. It's an old bit some portrait photographers still use
Leaning into the camera makes you look... well, like you're leaning into the camera. Nah, really, it makes you look more "open" — or, at least that's the idea.

It's done more or less "right" in the fifth, sixth and seventh shots, and quite wrong in the first and third, where we see facsimiles of Zippy the Pinhead.

I'm pretty sure the fourth guy is Zippy.

Trust me on tis one!

I suspect you could deal with 1, 3, 4, 7, 8, 12, and one of the at large guys, but don't even joke about Ted Gatsas!
