3. It's funny how...

some of these guys can go from relatively attractive (uber muscle-bound isn't really my thing) to absolute freaks of nature when they add the bronzer. What is it with body builders and bronzer? It frightens me a little bit.

on edit: I should have 'looked it up' first, but anorexia means "loss of appetite....which doesn't apply in an extreme body-builder's case.

BUT, I hope you will understand the point that I was trying to make that 'people who suffer from anorexia often suffer from an unrealistic view of their bodies. These 'overkill' body builder types take their body image to the extreme as well. In that unrealistic view of their bodies, they are the same as an anorexic.

extremely dissatisfied and obsessed with an aspect or particular aspects of his appearance.

These pictures are creepy and disturbing, and I'm sure that there is a psychological disturbance in some of these guys...

The competitive ones, that is. I don't personally understand wanting to do that, but I also don't understand marathon runners, etc. People that aren't competitive about it, I don't understand at all. I can understand wanting to be fit, but taking it to extremes seems silly.
