Or some other businesses/organizations mass text alerts and coupons. I've been getting coupons from Borders texted to my phone for months now - when you're a bibliophile like me, that adds up. The technology must have been around for some time.

I figure with the announcement there will be the initial announcement, the girlish squealing from whoever's fanboys/girls, the "why we should support this" threads, the news announcements and bitching about them, the discussion of early appearances and interviews, the first rumblings of discontent, the overreaction to the rumblings, the fullblown flamewars...

We're not going to have avatars until midweek. Then we'll lose them again for the convention crap.
