56. There's a story behind it, of lost friends....

The guy standing on the side of the pool lived down the street. I haven't seen him since 1971. He saw my name on Classmates and dropped me a line last month. He mentioned this picture which was in the Kansas City Star. I didn't even know it existed. It was fun reconnecting, and its one of the few pics of my youth, most were lost in floods that my parents went through.

Ben's working on the recycling. It's her one and only task in the office. In this case, she demanded crinkly plastic bags to sleep on before I filled the box again with office paper.

16. He's 15 1/2 now

his eyes are cloudy, he's coughing a bit more than normal and losing some weight. He doesn't seem to be in pain and bodily functions are normal. He's eating well and I'm just going to leave him alone until he starts having serious symptoms. He gets canned food and lots of treats. It will break my heart when he goes, but for now, he's getting spoiled with lots of love and attention.

Ben's 16 1/2, but she's still really happy and healthy. After Tigger died in 2005 at 13, I started to worry about Ben, but she's still as happy as a kitty.
