"We have to refer to each other as 'mommy and daddy' to him!" (the dog)
Edited on Fri Oct-03-08 05:21 PM by brentspeak
We all thought this was amusing. At a dinner party, my friend Dave's wife was scolding him for not saying "Go to mommy!" They don't have kids yet, but apparently she's trying to get him into father-mode. Then she said, "Daddy will take you bye-bye," while giving my friend the cross-armed stern look. Some little girl present was also lecturing my friend: "You're supposed to be his father!"

1. ick, to me that's so creepy but i have a friend who does this
he calls me "mommy" in reference to my parrot, cripes, the bird is as old as i am and if anything views me as a household servant or a peer not a "mommy"

fortunatley the bird has not picked up on this and never addresses me as "mommy" or i'd be really freaked
