My new house mate was crazy yesterday to the point that I had to lock

the door between his side and mine, (he has a full kitchen and bath in there).\

He told me that the government hired him to kill the Ayatollah Khomeini.

He was so hyper and contrary that he was making me nervous. I think either he was drinking, (he is in AA) or is manic and needs psychiatrist help. And he kept making comments about sex and he knows I hate that. (I know he is attractive to me and the feelings are not reciprocated.

I can't call any of his friends because they are all on his cell phone. I did tell him last night as he was trying to talk to me through the "crack" in the door that he was scaring me and if he didn't stop I was going to call the police. Of course I got one more contact from him through the cell phone when he said he was "sorry", (for the 10th time last night)

That sounds like delusion--now if he is in alcoholic withdrawal thats possible...but it also sounds like it could be schizophrenia which can be VERY dangerous.
This does not sound like a good situation for you Maraya. I wish I had some more helpful advice outside of somehow getting him out of the house...

2. Has he told you that he has a mental illness?

Maybe he has just run out of meds and is unable to afford more currently. If that is the case I think I might be able to help out.

3. I've asked him if he were ever diagnosed and he said "NO" which is to

be expected I supposed.

I just realized that the last time I was screaming about a housemate she ewas a different house mate and left when school ended. Everything worked out fine with her when I told her I just needed more privacy. (this if for the people who remember that situation and thinks I'm the crazy one. I am crazy but I take my medication.

I had a roommate once who tried to take a baseball bat to me. The lock on my door saved me. His problem was drugs but I didn't stick around to counsel him. Move, Maraya1969!

7. If you rented to him, kick him out

If you rented from him, bite the bullet on rent paid and move ASAP.

Ditch this short chapter in your life for good either way. Sounds too stressful with potential to be dangerous to you. :hug:
