Anyone planning to see the movie, "W?"
Not here.

If it goes according to Oliver Stone(d) 's previous movies, it'll have 1 or 2 facts, and the rest of the mvie will be pure fiction.

1. meh
i don't like the casting, and I agree about Oliver Stone. His films are always sensationalistic, and kind of ham fisted. I don't know, I might rent it when it comes out, just out of curiosity.

I WILL be interested in how it does, box office wise. Just to see how the public responds

2. I'm waiting for the real-life drama of seeing Bush held accountable for his many crimes.

Until then, I'm just not interested in "W"-tainment.

I lived through the nightmare. Why would I want to go to a cinema and relive it?

11. I thought his movie on Nixon was pretty good.
And growing up as a teen during Watergate and Vietnam I was no fan of Tricky Dick. I actually had some sympathy for him at the end. Kind of odd at first having Anthony Hopkins in the lead, but he was good.

12. nah, the last good Stone movie was JFK,
and the last great one was "Talk Radio." Plus, it just seems kinda weird and presumptuous to make a Bush biopic while he is still sitting.

13. I'm curious but will probably wait until video.
By that time, we'll have a Democratic president in the White House and I can enjoy it more.

19. I've seen him being interviewed. They made up some dialogue but stuck
mostly to what insiders like Ron Suskind said. Plus all the known events (like the pretzel incident) are included.

20. That would be like watching a movie about Ronald Raygun...
I lived through it once already. Why would I voluntarily subject myself through 2 more hours (with Stone, it'll be more like 3 to 4 hours) of torture. No, thanks. I'd rather watch paint dry and be happy...

there are only 98 more days to go. :woohoo:
