Oh YAY! Another fire in the Santiago Canyon

Looks like they got it knocked down quickly, but this is going to be a LOOOONNNNNGGGG weekend.

Hot, dry, windy... and it seems like most of these fires are started by arsonists.

Last year's Santiago Canyon fire came within one mile of our house. Granted, Santiago Canyon is enormous, but still there is very little to stop a wild fire from spreading in there.

I still have all the photos and important papers downstairs ready to throw into the car when we evacuate.

And unlike last year, if we are told that there is a voluntary evacuation on, we will go in a hot heartbeat - after we turn on the sprinkler system.

The one who set last year's lovely Santiago Canyon fire knew exactly what he was doing. He set it in three locations and pretty much torched everything between here and Corona.
