Has anyone ever traveld to Argentina?
I will be going in one month. I am trying to plan out my trip. Has anyone been to Ushuaia? I would like to go but would like to know if it's worth the trip. Any thoughts?

1. Hope you eat meat -
great local wines. They love to eat well, and they do it frequently.
It is a very European place - like here, many residents came from Europe a few generations back, and the culture is very sophisticated. It is Spring there now.

2. absolutely. it's cheap, the people are friendly
i lived in Buenos Aires for a year and just recently came back. Yes, the cuisine is kind of boring but the beef is amazing. In BA, think all night clubbing, cheap designer clothes shopping, tango, museums, parks (make sure to check out the cemetery in Recoleta). Take a short train to La Plata to see an interesting town with many cool houses on little delta islands. There are lots of boat tours. Then try to get North to Salta to see traditional dancing, cuisine, if you make it outside of the city try to find a gaucho exhibition. Then go further north to Jujuy to see the gorgeous mountains, sample the indigenous cuisine, and shop for arisan crafts and clothing. I never made it south to Cordoba but the skiing is supposed to be amazing. Go to the southern coastal areas in their winter (our summer) to whale watch.
