it is a comcast problem, most definitely...

I was plugged directly into their modem with my computer today and the internet would cut out for minutes at a time.

nothing to fix but comcast.

8. Call comcast and have them replace your modem.
They are replacing older models now. I had the same problem. It may take a few tries. They replaced my old modem with a model they are trying to get rid of. The technician didn't even want to install it. I had to have them come back a month later and they finally replaced it with a "state-of-the-art" modem. They did give me 3 months of on-demand and HBO for my trouble.

You got bittorrent running? Maybe that's the problem.

5. no bittorent
and usually I like the service I get from them, but for some reason it is cutting out for minutes at a time. Very frustrating while chatting with a friend online or using skype.
