Why do you people hate on fruitcake so much?

I got some from Whole Foods today.

And it was DELICIOUS.

1. Was that fresh fruitcake, or the desicated kind

that gets passed back and forth as a perpetual gift every year for decades? :P

The antique fruitcakes that are still getting passed back and forth would kill you. The Rum content is the only thing preventing them from growing legs and walking away on their own.

7. I think, real fruitcake is probably pretty good.

But rarely seen, kinda like a whipporwill. The hydrogenated plasticized fruit "things" they put in the stuff generally available would take a long time to digest-like commercially made hotdogs. Disgustin'!
