How music affects your driving
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/home/adfeatures/article-488072/How-music-affects-driving.html

"Israeli researchers at the Ben-Gurion University in Beer-Sheva found drivers who listen to up tempo tunes had more than twice as many accidents as those listening to slower music"

Oops, I made up a driving tune playlist and completing what was usually a 3 hour trip in 2.5 hours. Guess I'd better take out the Ride of the Valkyries and put in Moonlight Sonata... :)

3. Did they also study people who have been awake for long periods of time?
'cause slow music + sleepyness = badness.

5. True. I NEED loud, angry music to stay awake on long trips.
I get highway hypnosis something fierce otherwise.

4. I suspect that if you're listening actively to the music...
That might well interfere with your concentration on your driving...

Just sayin'...

6. I think the implication of this research is that angry music makes you drive angrily
whereas calm music makes you drive in a calm, collected manner. :)
