As they say, Canadian parliament is like British Parliament with a two drink minimum.

It gets real good about a minute in.

2. All Canadians know each other.
I learned this in seminary. There were several Canucks there, and when someone would realize they were Canadian, they'd say "You're from Toronto? I have a friend who lives in Halifax." The Canucks loved to yank the stupid Americans' chains. "Really? What's his name?" "John McSmith" (another fact--all Canadian surnames start with "Mc"). "Oh, sure. I know him. Too bad about his mum, though."

4. You probably are!! Try this. Say "about". If it sounds, you know, Canadian
then you are!! That means you get free tickets to Celine concerts, and you have a dry, but really hilarious, sense of humor! Oh, and you won't go around invading other countries uninvited.

Congrats!

6. Could you imagine Bush in a Parliamentary system?
That would have been the pinnacle of comedy gold, it would have been an infinite source of Bushisms, the likes we could never imagine!!!!!

10. It would be like a contest to see how long they could toy with him...
... before he stomped off in a petulant huff.

Of course he'd probably come back with Dick Cheney a secretly assembled army and start shooting.

"Look, I's a dicktater Now, Assholes."

11. I was watching that on CBC Newsworld today. Good times.

The best was when the CBC anchor showed the pic of Dion, Layton and Duceppe with the Canadian flag because Harper said they didn't put one behind them (because Duceppe hates Canada, of course).

13. It got a lot more boring in Britain when it was moved to the morning
They used to get a bit tanked up over lunch and then go for some fun, now that they're all sober it's nowhere near as good.
