2. I never got the humor of that show , though I am a big python and fawlty freak
Also keeping up appearances ...

But that particular show always seemed unfunny to me.

3. A fan of British comedy myself,
I never understood "Vicar of Dibley", "Fawlty Towers", "Monty Python"... but love AYBS, Keeping up Appearances, Waiting for God, Alexei Sayle's Stuff... Red Dwarf was good before it was Americanized...

And, true, AYBS's final 5 years wasn't as good. (For the price I paid, it's worth it.)

4. To understand 'The Vicar of Dibley,' you need to watch it from the beginning
Several episodes had often-subtle references to stuff from earlier ones, and there's the ongoing bit about Geraldine being very slowly accepted by David, who more or less runs Dibley (or thinks he does).

All you need to know about "Fawlty Towers" is that Basil's a pompous, overbearing arse, Sybil's a shrew with a horrendous laugh, Manuel's from Barcelona and Polly somehow puts up with the rest of them.

If you try to understand Monty Python, you never will. Just experience it.

7. "Oh, Meester Fawlty I love you, I love you."
"I come over here from Barcelona with my six mothers..."
