Good morning Lounge
Edited on Fri Dec-05-08 03:12 AM by MissHoneychurch
Be happy!!! It is Friday, the weekend is in front of us :D My plans for this weekend? Going to the Christmas Market, clean my apartment and hopefully get started on sorting through stuff. It is only one more month before I move. I better get my ass in action. I am looking forward to the new place but not the the moving. Oh well, guess I can't have everything :)

6. Good mornin!
Not really, I'm going back to bed. I just had a omg wtf twisted mind dream and had to get up to process. Let me just say umm..

I was piloting a 747 with one other passenger as co-pilot (who had a tattoo that said "Beauty, War, Society" The words were on a center emblem with Navy Wings on right and left). It was, what I thought to be, a military operation. I was delivering this guy to some place in Alaska. When I landed it was nothing but whacked out hookers and drugs.

I had been hoodwinked! I was delivering me! I went all Rambo on them and left. I was later in a bar towns away, safe. When I went to the bathroom the aforementioned tattoo was a person!! It was like that nemisis on the new Dr. Who. It had no lips it was just a stretched piece of skin that talked :D

Annnyhow...

There! It's processed. Hehe

Happy Friday! I'll be back in a few hours

Great pic MissH. I love caves.

Packing! Yes, you best start packing! It is a great way to sort through stuff and eliminate items. But it is a daunting task.

I'm excited for you. The moving part - not the packing part.

10. Four hours! Lucky you!
I'm still in my jammies - haven't started getting ready for work. :) I'd leave early from work feigning a headache, but I'm going to a concert tonight and know I'll run into work people. Oh well . . . I can last eight more hours. For some reason, this has been a long week.

Go burn those old bf pics! He doesn't deserve to be in your head!

And I'm sure you'll find some real treasures as you pack and purge. That's the fun part.

I went for dinner last night with some friends, so I've got leftovers for my lunch, so that'll save me some time this morning.

Why do people drive you crazy during the holiday season? Crazy at work, or just crazy in general.

Good attitude about the exes. pics.

26. I need to take my camera out more often
I have been extremely lazy about photography recently.

Work is hopping today. We have a big event in the middle of January, and everyone is working like crazy to get it together before the holidays so that we don't have to worry about it. (Of course, this just means that we'll come in after New Years, and some big catastrophe will have struck.)

Good luck with your event. Good thing all I am handling are books

which system does your library use? Many of the libraries here have moved away from the Dewey Decimal System, which is the one that I know, so suddenly all the books have moved to new places, and I feel totally lost.

You would probably really like the Enoch Pratt main branch here in Baltimore - it's a pretty fantastic building (it probably doesn't compare to European architecture, but it's still beautiful, with murals, etc. Sometime you will have to visit, and I will take you there.

45. We use our home-made system
it works fantastic for us.

I never got warm with Dewey. I would if I would have to work with it more. Public libraries in Germany use another system though, not Dewey. The good thing is that Dewey is really good with categories and sub-categories .. but that is also its problem.

I would love to visit you too. And there are a lot of modern libraries that look amazing.

46. well, this library isn't exactly modern
at least not by American standards. I think it was built in 1880s, I think, but it was built to last. It's one of the oldest free libraries in the country (if not the oldest). The central branch's biggest problem is that it isn't big enough, actually, so many of the books are housed in stacks and you have to request them from the librarian. The system works, but it makes it very difficult for people like me, who are browsers. If there was still a card catalog system, it would be fine, but there really is no way to just see the collections. :(

But you should come sometime. There's some interesting things to see in Baltimore, and it's close enough to a lot of other cities for day visits.

I didn't take my camera when I went with him.

It's not the size of the condo, it's the quantity of the junk.

I have a thingy to attach to the vacuum cleaner hose that cleans ceiling fan blades. So, logically, I put it in one of the pouches on the bag thing that holds all the vacuum attachments. But the pouch is big enough for the attachment to not show or even make a bulge, so I didn't see it when I looked there. I looked all over the house, in all the possible "cleaning supplies" places, even in the reject box ... although I couldn't imagine why I would have put it in the reject box. I finally gave up and did the vacuuming. When I went to put the hose back, guess what I found?
