Guitar Hero- is it a kind of newfangled "follow the bouncing ball" video game?

I just google it, watched a couple of bits on Youtube, that's what Guitar Hero is basically? You play along with the notes shown on the screen?

1. Pretty much. If you aren't familiar with the song, it can be tricky.
It isn't all that easy though.

2. That's it - colored button pushing to musical rhythm.
Somewhat musical, but mostly not. Kinda fun, though. But, I'd rather be playing a real instrument, or playing a different game.

Rhythm games. Dance Dance Revolution is another one like that, only you use your feet. I'm not a big video game fan but I usually like that kind.

At least me. I am getting the Wii Fit though. I hope I really do it. Hopefully it won't end up like my treadmill. The one I HAD to have. Oops.

6. It even has a separate exercise mode.
I do find it a fun way to get my heart pumping. :)
