we're getting a wii!

as a family christmas gift.. my mom just got it. of course it won't be played with until after christmas because the little ones don't know yet.. it'll be a surprise for them.

i'll only have a few months to play with it though, lol.. before i move out for college. guess that means that i need to perfect my wii skills quickly :P

she's got two little kids at home and for her, it's a great way to get structured exercise.

5. We got ours last week.

My mom sent it to us for Christmas, from MN. She told us to go ahead and open it. She also sent us the Wii Fit, which is really cool.

to be honest, i haven't played it much lately, because i just got kingdom hearts re:chain of memories for my playstation 2 and chrono trigger for my DS...heh, i am so nerdy it's kind of sad

11. My uncle is pushing 70

He had a stroke earlier this year, and got the Wii as part of his therapy. He whipped my ass in bowling when I was over there two weeks ago!

12. I must say the bowling is my specialty and it pisses my husband off.

My technique looks stupid as hell, but it gets results. My all time high was a 280-something. Never could bowl perfect.

10. LK's getting one for Giftmas.

I'm still keeping my eye open for a sale on Guitar Hero. It was dirt cheap from TRU on Black Friday, but it sold out before I could get the transaction to go through online, and I'm not crazy enough to stand in line.

We only have a Wii. Naturally, that one's barely even in stock anyplace, let alone on sale.

It's no big deal if he has to wait. He's getting plenty of other games.

You have no worries trust me. I have been dying to get Mario Kart since it came out. I just got it a couple of weeks ago. The games for the wii are worth the wait. I wouldn't have any other game system. It is the best.

None of them are big gamers, but they do try to keep active. So the active nature of the Wii vs. other gaming systems is a good match for them. :)
