What's your favorite unorthodox Christmas/holiday song?
My votes:

"Christians and the Pagans" by Dar Williams
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U_Xdk4PujOE

"Christmas Wrapping" by The Waitresses
(alas, nothing decent on YouTube)

"Merry Christmas from the Family"--the Jill Sobule version

9. Oh gods that one always depresses me
I know it's hip to say it's the best Christmas song, but I can't bear to listen to it. :(

5. This one
Gods rest ye, Unitarians, let nothing you dismay;
Remember there's no evidence there was a Christmas Day;
When Christ was born is just not known, no matter what they say,
O, Tidings of reason and fact, reason and fact,
Glad tidings of reason and fact.

Our current Christmas Customs come from Persia and from Greece,
From solstice celebrations of the ancient Middle East.
This whole darn Christmas spiel is just another pagan feast,
O, Tidings of reason and fact, reason and fact,
Glad tidings of reason and fact.

There was no star of Bethlehem, there was no angels' song;
There couldn't have been wise men for the trip would take too long.
The stories in the Bible are historically wrong,
O, Tidings of reason and fact, reason and fact,
Glad tidings of reason and fact!

14. Coming Out for Christmas -- sing to the tune of "Hark! . . .
"Hark! The Herald Angels Sing" Sing along!

I intend to drop a bomb
on my dear old dad and mom
for this year, without a doubt,
is the Christmas I come out
first I'll get their full attention
then slip in a subtle mention:
"Tasty turkey. Perfect peas.
Would someone pass (I'm gay) the cheese?"
That should do the job okay
when I come out on Christmas day

O say, can you see it now
watch my parents have a cow
or perhaps if fate is kind
they'll insist that they don't mind
then they'll say "we've always guessed --
after all, look how you're dressed.
Seven earrings in one ear?
We're not quite that dense, my dear."
They'll adore me anyway
when I come out on Christmas day

Coming out to everyone
makes the winter doldrums fun
it's a noble thing to do
why don't you come on out too?
make the choice - damn consequence!
lift your voice - get off the fence!
shout it from the highest roof
gay is great, and you're the proof
make the season bright and gay
come on out on Christmas day

It loses plenty because you can't hear the arrangement. It was a blast to perform.

21. Sandler's "Hanukkah Song, Part II"
Put on your Yamaka
Its time for Chanukah
So much funnaka
To celebrate Chanukah
Chanukah is the festival of lights
Instead of one day of presents
We get eight crazy nights
When you feel like the only kid in town
Without a Christmas tree
Here's a new list of people who are Jewish
Just like you and me
Winona Ryder,
Drinks Manischewitz wine
Then spins a Dreidle with Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein
Guess who gives and receives
Loads of Chanukah toys
The girls from Veruca Salt and all three Beastie Boys
Lenny Kravitz is half Jewish,
Courtney Love is half too
Put them together
What a funky bad ass Jew
We got Harvey Keitel
And flash dancer Jennifer Beals
Yasmine Bleeth from Baywatch is Jewish
And yes her boobs are real
Put on that yarmulka
Its time for Chanukah
2 time Ocsar winning Dustin Hoffmanaka
celebrates Chanukah
O.J. Simpson
Still not a Jew
But guess who is,
The guy who does the voice for Scooby Doo
Bob Dylan was born a Jew
Then he wasn't
but now he's back,
Mary Tyler Moore's husband is Jewish
'Cause we're pretty good in the sack.
Guess who got bar-mitzvahed
On the PGA tour
No I'm not talking about Tiger Woods
I'm talkin' about Mr. Happy Gilmore.
So many Jews are in the show biz
Bruce Springsteen isn't Jewish
But my mother thinks he is.
Tell the world-amanaka
It's time to celebrate Chanukah
It's not pronounced Ch-nakah
The C is silent in Chanukah
So read your hooked on phonica
Get drunk in Tijuanaka
If you really really wannaka
Have a happy happy happy happy Chanukah!
