Today I set three 4.5' granite bounds
and my body is sorely paying for it. Probably 3 more tomorrow.

I feel like John McCain my friends.

What did you do?

8. Did you also intentionally lie to your children?
Even if they do, I can't ever forgive myself, I know that.

4. No, I've just seen the error of my ways...
playing along with the "Santa" mythology, and poisoning my kids for life... I'll be lucky if they ever forgive me.

:(

7. really?
I'm sure that I'll regret asking but in what way are you a terrible mother?

Are you denying your children their request for firearms and liquor for Christmas?

9. No, I just lied to them, and pretended Santa was real...
all those years my own terrible parents lied to me, and what do I do?

Turn around and visit that same abuse on them!

Oh, the horror... the horror.

11. HE'S NOT REAL!?

You lie!!! Take it back! Take it back! Santa is-too real. He even leaves reindeer tracks in the snow and eats the carrots and cookies I leave out for him.

You've just destroyed my belated childhood. I hope you're happy.

Our traitorous, cruel, evil parents.

And now I've done the same to my own two precious angels...

OH MY GOD WILL THIS TORTURE NEVER END?

5. I broke open my sculpture mold
Which promptly cracked and fell apart. Stupid frickin' thing. Hopefully fixable.

I drew another nekkid chick. Still working on it.

Hopefully I'll survive to see tomorrow.

6. Went to Minot, ND and back.
If you look up the word "godforsaken" in your handy dictionary, you will find a photograph of the Minot airport (MOT) in the winter.

15. Someone once told me
that in Minot, it gets so cold, that people hook electric heaters to their cars and plug them in every night or the engine will freeze solid.

Is that true? It sounds kinda 'out there'.

18. It's not that bad.
Edited on Mon Dec-08-08 10:42 PM by ocelot
Here in the frozen North (Minnesota, too) we do sometimes plug in our cars on very cold nights, but those are headbolt or block heaters whose purpose is to keep the oil from getting so thick that the car won't start easily. It has to be awfully cold for a battery to freeze, and even Minot doesn't usually get that cold.

What makes Minot seem so bleak is not just that it's cold; it's that it's flat, pretty much treeless and really windy.
