Last night's Dexter (spoilers)
Okay, didn't see the bachelor party thing coming. Didn't really like the twist, it struck me as kinda overly manipulative of the audience, and not really something the guys would do.

Kinda figured they'd put off the Miguel thing until the last episode of the season and wrap up the skinner thing tonight, not the other way around. Maybe there's a complication with the body dump in the final episode? That could be the cliffhanger, if he almost gets caught.

You'd think by now that Debra'd be in some shit for going after serial killers without calling in for backup.

1. Isn't he going to "blame" Miguel's murder on the Skinner? n/t

2. I think that was the plan, but he garroted him.
Is that really consistent?

4. I definitely liked the second season better.
It'll be pretty hard to top that storyline.

5. I like it best when Dexter is a Loner, trying to understand how to fit in
and why do we act the way we do. I think they can say a lot about society using that as the vehicle.

7. It's a tv show about a serial killer.
It's on Showtime, which I don't get, but *yay internet* that just means I have to wait a few hours to watch each week's episode.

8. I thought they'd put it off until the last episode too.
But there's still interesting shit in the air. From the previews, it looks like Miguel's brother thinks Dexter killed him (thanks to the seed planted by Miguel) and will go after him. And the previous week, didn't Miguel also incite the skinner to go after Dexter? Meanwhile, his wedding is imminent. Good writers on that show; I'm confident.

10. I loved it.

I was totally fooled by the bachelor party thing as well. It was sort of a cheap move but it was also great when he punched Masuka in the face. There are quite a few possibilities on how it all plays out. I don't think he's going to face exposure this time unless somehow he gets alone with Skinner who reveals Miguel told him all about his secret life. Or maybe Miguel leaves a journal or something behind to implicate Dexter.

Whatever happens I hope Dexter kills the other brother too.

This series has been great so far.

11. I think he's going to have to. The other brother's dangerous.

12. The bachelor party thing
pissed me off so much that if it had been the third or fourth episode of the season instead of the eleventh of a thirteen-episode season, I'd have given up on the show. When you say "kinda overly manipulative of the audience," I think you're being kinda overly kind.
