I never answer it.

I figure it can't be anyone I want to see.

Every time I hear a knock on my door that I am not expecting, I say to myself "Oh fuuuuuuuck", and wait for them to leave.

I never answer my land line either.

I figure if it is that important, they will leave a message.

Fuck 'em.

2. Yep. Unexpected phone calls are either bill collectors or telemarketers
I'm about to lose my job; I have no money for either of them.
Unexpected door knocks terrify me. 11 years ago, I had a police officer knocking on one door, one of our pastors knocking on the other, and the pastor's wife on the phone, simultaneously, all to tell us our daughter was dead.
I hate the phone.
I hate people knocking on my door.
:scared:

3. Yep.
I don't answer the door if it's someone I don't know.

Women have been raped when they answered the door late at night when some alleged "maintenance man" was knocking. Scary.

5. I jump out of my skin every time.
When you live as far out as I do, you get that way.
