I'm a bit biased since I was 13-23 that decade, the prime age for listening to music.

I spent countless hours enjoying amazing live music.

The best was probably the Golden Palominos at Cat's Cradle in 1987.

If you never got to experience that band live at their peak I feel sorry for you.
