I got a dog!!!!!
Edited on Fri Dec-12-08 01:19 PM by Maraya1969
Some may remember that 1 1/2 years ago I adopted a senior dog named Duke. He was a lover and I was glad to let him spend his twilight years with me. He died a few months ago.

So my favorite type of dog is a Chihuahua, (which Duke was) and I applied all over the place to Chihuahua rescues. Finally I checked my local shelter and they had about 4 of them posted. Apparently a hoarder was found out and they took 10 chihuahuas out of the house.

So I made sure I was there at opening time and good thing because there were a few other women looking for the Chihuahuas too.

So Peanut just had babies and was just spayed and she is a dream. She follows me everywhere I go and she even does her business outside. So here she is!

8. Doggies can make us better people, if we'll only pay attention.
Perhaps much better, if peanut's picture is anything to go by. :loveya:

I'd say "bless you" for adopting, but I realize that that's sorta redundant.

13. I'm very glad that you adopted an older dog ( Duke). Not
many people do, and they are wonderful companions.

Our dog - whose second name is Peanut - is a Great Dane/Doberman, about 115 pounds, and a real sweetheart. He is about 8 now.
Have a long, happy time with your new friend.
