Teenaged celebrity crushes: Name them (and don't be afraid to share the weird ones)
Okay, it was the usual for a kid who hit adolescence in the Ford administration--Kristy MacNicol, Jacqueline Smith, Anne Lockhart (from the 70s Battlestar Gallactica series)--but weirdness in celebrity crushes cannot be explained, only enumerated... At some point in 1978 I had a crush on Joan Rivers.

Don't ask for details; it's painful to recall.

2. Demi Moore, Susan Sarandon (not sure about the spelling)
I literally can't think of anyone else weird or otherwise. I was probably too busy trying not to sprout a boner in school and then coming home and releasing my angst, so to speak.

8. Jordan Knight, from Kew Kids on the Block
I wasn't exactly a teenager yet, but I loooooved him. My friend Kylie and I used to sit around together on the playground after school and make up elaborate stories about what our lives would be like when I married Jordan and she married Donnie Wahlberg, lol.

39. Years after that movie came out...

I was staying at the Hilton in San Francisco when I suddenly realized upon riding the escalators at the south end of the building that hotel was the location for much of the film.

"Yes, Eunice."

Who came up with movie concepts like that? Were they aiming for the all-important dirty old man demographic?
