I saw The Dark Knight this weekend. I was neither blown away nor grossly disappointed.
I liked the whole dark mood of the movie, but in the end, I was pretty much take it or leave it. It arguably was the best summer action film of the year, but I'm not sure if it deserves a Best Picture nomination.

Ledger did a pretty good job. I think he'll end up getting Best Actor, but mainly as a posthumonous legacy award.

2. The movie was 'meh' through and through.
I would rather watch a bad movie. I just slogged through 'Wanted' the other night and I do not think Dark Knight was any better/worse.

3. Agreed.
I got up in the middle and went and had a smoke. The first one, however, kept me glued to my seat.

5. I thought it was overrated mush.
A perfect example of everything wrong with big Hollywood blockbusters.

Iron Man was a superior comic book movie.

6. Whew!
Glad you were talking about the movie. Saw your headline and thought that Cheney was making a farewell tour...

9. i saw it last week and felt the same way
it got harder for me to stay interested the long the movie went on.

however, i think ledger did much more than a pretty good job. he made the movie for me.
