Here is my yard - taken from my deck


My willow tree lost some limbs

1. I hate that sound in the middle of the night...

...that sound of branches cracking and breaking, under the weight of the ice. Ice, in general? Ugh. Pretty to look at, but only from the inside, when the power stays on.

3. I was really lucky that my home was not damaged by

any trees or limbs. My car would have been toast if it had been parked in it's usual spot in the driveway, but I had had put it in the barn for the night.

And yes, it is pretty - only when the power stays on though.

5. OMG, I so can't relate!

We're freaking out, here on the West coast in the Santa Cruz mountains b/c the snow level is dropping down to 1500 ft and it probably won't get much above 45 degrees today.

It's all relative. I can't even possibly begin to imagine ice storms. :hug:

We survived. It was freaking COLD in my house - it was 45 in the house (and that wasn't even the coldest it got in there).

Little MB said it looked like a forest of silver xmas trees :D
