Hi everyone...I am back from Western MA
:hi:

It feels weird to be back here. I didn't hear a single siren for 7 days, and never drove over 45. I could walk into a crosswalk and not worry about getting run over. It's so loud here!

While I was home, I saw flocks of wild turkeys across from my house, crows overrunning my yard, stars, ice and snow...I got to walk my dog, hang out with my brother and listen to him play guitar, play with Winston the kitten and his momma Butter, rifle through my attic and find neat stuff. I found slides from the 50s and 60s...pics of my Mom's first wedding.

It was an interesting visit. Emotional, comfortable, sentimental, ups and downs. Overall, I'm very happy that I went. It was hard to leave. It's ok, I get to go back in 10 days for Xmas.

I've been off the internet for much of it, and not watching tv either. What a nice vacation. :)

Now y'all are stuck with me again for a bit. :P

:hi:

1. I hear that
sniffa plugged up the toilet while you were gone...

I think he threw some shoes in there ... He is way out of control.

5. I did!
And thanks. I may need to just stick with wool ease to keep things simple--they have a color simiar to what I found on eBay, and I know for sure that gauge is okay.

But I await your expert opinion!

6. Glad you made it back safely, sweets.
How's mom doing? What's the update?

You're a good soul for doing all that, btw. I can name on the fingers of one hand, people who would do what you did. You should be very proud of yourself.

7. Oh you...

Mom looks great. She's temporarily in a nursing home, but for some reason her insurance is covering it for the short-term. We're working on getting her home. For now, it won't be until after Xmas, but she can come home for the day that day.

:)

8. Medicare?
Medicare will cover her for 100 days per annum. That is enough to buy you some time.

I've got Mr. and his best Account Manager on this as well. They're meeting this week in NJ and I told them as much as I know, so hopefully, he'll have some advice that can be useful.

9. I think the VA is covering it, b/c I think they're
not classifying it as "long term care". They will cover "skilled nursing", etc.

Thank you so much. You're such a wonderful friend and person.
