Eartha Kitt, sultry 'Santa Baby' singer, dies

NEW YORK � Eartha Kitt, a sultry singer, dancer and actress who rose from South Carolina cotton fields to become an international symbol of elegance and sensuality, has died, a family spokesman said. She was 81.

I was surprised to find out that the one they most often play these days has been from Madonna! It sounded more like Cyndi Lauper or someone trying to do a Betty Boop impression. Didn't even sound like the material girl.
