In remembrance of friends lost

Four years ago this month, I lost my best friend. She died unexpectedly, in one quick moment, a few days before Christmas.

I'm thinking about her tonight.

Every holiday when I visited my home town, I would go over to her house and we would play games, and have a grand time remembering all the good ol' days we shared for 35 years. Being silly was the word.

I don't have a best friend any more, and that makes me a bit melancholy. But I cherish the memories, so....

Here's to you, Val.
